Gratitude

Yesterday was a big day for me. It was a good day for me! Yesterday I had my first writing piece published by another site. Some may say what’s the big deal? Well, let me tell you:

First I will fill you in on my education background. Most of my life I was behind in english and writing to the point I had to attend “special classes” in addition to my normal class times. I have always liked writing but was never confident in it because I felt behind, for the longest time I had no clue how to use punctuation. Still working on that. I kept writing any how. So even this small piece is a huge accomplishment for me.

My second reason, this was a very personal subject for me. I wrote about my own heartache, not much more personal than that. We have all been there and felt that pain, if you haven’t I hope you never do! I did it right, I did not share details of the events that took place and even got the other person’s permission to use our story. My goal was not to gain compassion from strangers or to dishonor her but to convey to men that we have all been there and here are some steps to help recover.

Lastly, which is the best in my opinion! Was seeing all my friends and family share my piece throughout the internet, supporting me and what I consider an accomplishment. Maybe not all my 2,000 and something social media connections shared it but those closest and dearest to me did. I cannot explain what that means to me, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Lastly I would like to thank Kris of GoodGuySwag.com for giving me the opportunity to share my story and being gracious enough to give me the feedback needed to make this the piece it is. Thank you Kris and the GoodGuySwag.com audience for your support.

(For those who maybe wondering about the 2000 social media connections, it roughly translates into a potential audience of just over a million people. It is a small world after all.)
